Music City Loop: Prufrock-MB2 launched, MB3 expected September

On 1 August 2026 The Boring Company published its sixth official Music City Loop blog post.

Key points from the post:

• Prufrock-MB1 and Prufrock-MB2 are actively tunneling.
• Prufrock-MB2 launched from Lot 16 after commissioning.
• The second vertical cassette supporting MB2 is online for continuous rock removal.
• Prufrock-MB3 is on track to arrive in Nashville in September and will incorporate lessons from the first two machines.
• Rock conditions remain excellent, with compressive strengths consistently around 14,000 psi.

All permits required ahead of tunneling had already been obtained earlier in the year.
